Water recovery and runoff planning

Water recovery matters when dirty water, sediment, oily residue, cleaning solution, or site rules make runoff control important. CHD has several ways to recover or redirect water, including discharge vacuums and full water recovery units for larger or commercial jobs.

The right approach depends on the surface, slope, drains, storm drain location, customer requirements, local rules, and how the water is likely to move across the property. For some jobs, water pathing and containment are part of the planning conversation before pressure washing begins.

When to discuss water recovery

Water recovery should be discussed for commercial pressure washing, oil or grease work, large flatwork, roof cleaning runoff, tight drainage areas, properties with storm drains nearby, and any job where a manager, HOA, city, or property owner has specific requirements.
